I heart PR!

My favorite quote so far...

"I don't think anybody's really ready for their sixth child, but five, six, or seven, it doesn't make that big of a difference. I'll just throw it on the pile with the rest of them." -- Laura

As much as I hate Jeffrey I am sad how Angela got Auf'd. I say Kayne gets it next week.

Open letter to my cat.

Dear Cat (you know who you are).

Mommy was very uspet when she saw that you knocked her favorite mug off of the kitchen counter and broke it. Luckily she was able to buy a new one this afternoon on the internets. You have been forgiven but don't do it again!

Love,

Your Mama

Pleasant surprise?

As I took my mail out of my mailbox yesterday afternoon I noticed that I had an envelope from Chrysler Financial. Two thoughts ran in my head as I opened it. Did I just get some money back from them (and if so how much) or how could I possibly owe them more money? To my surprise it was a check. For 5 cents. I am not shitting you. Five cents. I overpaid them by a nickel? WTF? I debated all nite as to what to do with the darn thing Should I cash it or should I frame the damn thing? Guess what I did.

I cashed it :)

Good Grief.

Why can't I find good help anymore? First, it was the cat sitter who forgot about the cats for a few days while I was on vacation. Now its the house cleaning service that I hired whose cleaner didnt show up when scheduled. They then sent someone over the following day and is now trying to make me pay them an amount that was higher that they quoted. I'll tell ya something if I owned one of these business I would certainly treat customers a lot better.

Oh, Tucker you dancing fool.

I am having a rather shitty day today and my IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is acting up. This just made it brighter. Yes, that is my man Tucker Carlson (sans bowtie) on Dancing with the Stars. What's funnier than a white, conservative guy leaning how to dance on national TV? He'll bite it early but I cant wait to watch.

Something to watch.

I can't find anything good to watch after I get home from work so I started watching my DVDs. A few weeks ago I aquired the first four seasons of Northern Exposure. This was my favorite show for years. I was excited to see that they were finally coming out on DVD but I wasn't so excited about the price (about $45 a set). Luckily I saw that BB had the first four seasons on sale for $19.99 each. Naturally I ran out and bought them (seasons 1 and 2 were in one set). Now that I have actually been to AK I can see a lot of discrepencies in the tv show. I call Mr. K after I watch an episode to complain to him (he finds this amusing). This is a great show and I am reliving my high school crush on Ed.

SOAP = Worst. Movie. Evar.

The only redeeming part of Snakes on a Plane was Samuel Jackson. I watched most of the movie with my glasses off. And I can't see a damn thing without them. Though it was amusing to see the movie with a group of people. I don't see any good movies in the future. There are a few that I want to see but nothing will beat Clerk II.

PSA: Freecycle

I have been meaning to post about Freecycle for a while and it's totally slipped my mind. For those of you who are unaware about Freecycle it's a way to give stuff away that you no longer have a need for to someone who could use it. It's an alternative to filling up our landfills. So if you have stuff lying around in good shape you post on a local website that you have an offer and if someone is interested then you have meet-up with that person and make the exchange. Recently I have traded an old shelf stereo, scrapbooking magazines and VHS tapes. And I have been on the receiving end too! I got a perfectly good sewing machine! It works great :) In my area there are three freecycle groups. click on the link above to search or try Yahoo Groups for an group near you.

"There's a lot of ugly in this room"

I for one am glad that Alison got kicked off of PR last nite. She's boring. Not that I care for Vincent or Jeff but at least they are entertaining.

Other than that last nite was crap. I started getting prank calls on my cell last nite and got them again this morning. I WONDER who's behind it?????

Hump Day.

I am very much looking forward to PR tonite. It's the highlight of my week. Not much else going on. Oh Mr. K and I did see Little Miss Sunshine last nite. I thought it was ok, he thought it was a lot funnier. I think I was creeped out by all the little JonBenet Ramseys running around.

Even more bad news!

My eyebrown artisan left East End salon!

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called today to make an appt because my brows really need it and they told me she was no longer with the salon! Like today couldn't get any worse. Actually it can, I may have a run in with the monster Fulana later today. I made an appt anyway, I may be looking for a new eyebrow waxer.

Mary, where are you????

Bay news Ya'll.

I may be out of a job by the end of the year. Thanks to Congress slashing my agency's budget I may be given the boot. Yes I am upset but luckily I have an up to date resume that I have already sent out to quite a few jobs. (Both Federal and non-Federal). I won't know anything for a while so if I seem a bit frazzeled that's why. I've been laid off before and I know how much it sucks. But I could use the time off. Time to tighten up the wallet and save every penny I've got.

Tina! Get me the ax!

Lordy, I watched Mommie Dearest last nite with the John Waters commentary and I was laughing my ass off. I love that movie anyway but John Waters added something special to it. Though the film was not meant to be campy it is the top of my list of guilty pleasures.

And remember readers, "NO WIRE HANGERS...EVER!"

Frida is paid off!

My car is finally paid off. Now I can start saving up for all the damn repairs she's gonna need!

And I can finally register her in NJ. Though I am gonna keep my MD tags for old times sakes.

100 miles isn't far enough.

Sometimes I am glad that I live AWAY from my family. They can be the most abusive, degrading and violent people that I now. Too bad you can't pick your family....

I'm on a Project Runway high.

Did you watch PR last night? I was so happy that Keith finally got kicked off. What a douchebag. Apparently Laura agreed with me. When she called him an asshole I just about busted a gut laughing. She is one cool ass momma even with her filty mouth. Man I bet she curses like a sailor. I knew I liked her when she said that even though she was a mother of 5 that she refuses to become the minivan driving cliche.

I am also happy that Bonnie got the ax. She is so annoying with her valley girl accent. I am pulling for Laura or Michael. DOWN WITH ANGELA!

Dental Woes

I had a dental appt this morning. The dentist highly recommend that I take out all four of my wisdom teeth. She tried to put some icing on the situation by saying ,"There will be pain afterwards but it'll be worth it". When I got to work I called the oral surgeon she suggested and made an appointment late next month for a consultation. I guess I better start saving now, even with insurance this ain't gonna be cheap.

On the positive side my teeth are really clean and shiny :)

I heart BestBuy

Yesterday, after work, I drove by my neighborhood BB to get a cell phone charger for my car. I can't find my regular charger and my battery was pretty low. The problem with BB is that once I am in there I wave to peel myself from the store. I love it there. I could walk by the HDTVs and DVD cases all day. They were having a pretty good sale on DVDs so I mosied on over to see what they had left. I picked up the following:

*The 10th anniversay edition of "Clerks".
*The "South Park" movie (for Mr.K)
*A special edition on "Mommy Dearest" with the special commentary from John Waters. I was trully excited to get this after talking to Ms. GreayCats about it.
*A special edition of "Dazed and Confused". (They had a really cool box set but I stopped myself).

Oh and some cables to connect my Ipod to my stereo.

I am saving up to get a HTIB (that's home theater in a box for you non AV folk) CompUsa has a Onkyo set for under $450 that I really, really want!

/yes I'm a dork
//but how many home theater female dorks do you know?
