The Musings of the Absolutely Fabulous Ms. N.

It's hot as Hades here in the greater Philly area. I better start bringing my lunch with me to work so I dont have to leave the building at all (that is until I have to go home). I'm just glad that I don't have to sit in traffic in this heat. This time last year I was plodding thru DC traffic twice a day. I was constantly afraid that my car was going to overheat. So take care dear readers. Dont overheat and we'll all get thru this heat eventually.

Mr. K pointed out today that we have seen four movies in the past two months. That is a record for me. I never really went to the movies often in the past. I never had anyone to go with and since moving to Philly I now have plenty of people to go with. I plan on seeing a few more before the summer is offically over. Tonite we say POTC II on some free movie passes I got from a friend. Overall the movie was enjoyable, I love me some Johnny Depp. I didnt realize that it was three hours long though! It ended with a set-up for the third installment. Wait till after the credits are over for an extra quick scene.

Wow this has to be one the the funniest films I have seen in a long while. WARNING: If you are not a Kevin Smith fan or a fan a totally crude jokes don't go see this. There were times where I got pretty squeemish. I am planning on seeing it again soon and I can't wait. It'll be the first movie that I have seen twice in the theaters!

Glad to be back home. I missed my kitties and I think that they even managed to miss me a little too. I am getting my photos developed this weekend (yes I am still rockin' the 35mm film) so I will try to get some AK photos online soon. Have a good weekend y'all!

Good lord! I called the catsitter today to let them know that I was on my way home tomorrow and to see how things went with the boys. Do you know what he told me? That he didnt see them for 2 days because he FORGOT! I am so paranoid about anything having to do with my cats and this dude tells me that he didnt have them on the schedule? AAARRRGGGHHHH!

Things are ok now, he wont charge me for the visits and he was going to see them tonite and tomorrow morning. I cant wait to be back home and to kiss and hug my kitties!

I'm here! It took 10 hours but I am here. Having a great time. Mr. K took me to his fave dive breakfast place and I actually ate reindeer sausage. Not too bad. More to come!

So I went with a few friends to go see the new Superman movie. I was actually somewhat excited to see it because I had just see a documentary on Superman that was on A&E (or was it the History channel). I was pretty dissapointed in the movie. I thought that it was a good Kevin Spacey movie and I liked Parker Posey too. I thought that Brandon Routh did a good Christopher Reeve impression (and he was hot in the Superman outfit I must say). The chick that played Lois Lane was totally unbelievable. She was plain awful. I thought that there was a lot that could have been done with the whole Superman baby/babymama drama. I still have issues with Superman being a baby's daddy but I guess it is a sign of the times.

I am utterly tired today and I am looking forward to my vacation in 8 days.

Yesterday Mr. K, Mr. K's cousin (Seattle man) and I went to AC before the state pulled the plug. I didnt win squat but we had a good time overall. We went to two of my favorite casinos: Wild, Wild West and Caesar's and we managed to walk around the boardwalk too.

Speaking of vacation I better get packing. I have laundry to do and tonite the cat sitters are coming for a visit. Knowing my cats they'll love them. They tend to become enamoured of anyone but me. Little Bastards.

Next time I decide to go to a Brooklyn Cyclones game please splurge the extra $8 and buy regular seats. It's worth not seating near the bleacher freaks.

Also it's amazing how $6 and a ride around a track can turn three men into little boys in about 15 minutes. :)
