Say what?
I called home yesterday to inform them that I was indeed joining them for the annual Thanksgiving meal. (I have to inform my family a few times of things because talking to one member of the household does not guarantee that the message will be passed along). So I make the customary offer of "Can I bring anything"? I was told to bring a pumkin pie. I was like "ookayyy". I have never made one before and I know that the store bought kind is pretty nasty (or at least I have been told). I dont' eat pumpkin as I have bad memories of being force fed it by my grandmother back in the day. So I now have to go out and buy pie plates (because I left mine in Md) along with all the ingredients. Oh YAY! I am so glad I asked. But I guess its a small piece to pay for an awesome Turkey Day meal and football!
Oh and I finally lost a fantasy fottball game after a 7 game winning streak :(

You know, despite how that glop looks coming out of the pumpkin it actually makes a good pie ...

If you need help/advice with making the pumkpin pie, talk to my mother-in-law....she makes hers from scratch and was working on this year's Turkey Day pie when I was over at her house last night.
