Dodge Drama Part 4
Well this time she got me. On my way to my interview my car decided to not want to go any further than the Dunkin Donuts 2 blocks from my apt. I stopped there for some breakfast before I headed up to Philly. I put the key in the ignition and nothing. Car would not start. After a frantic call to my mechanic, he gave me the number of a tow company. I called my ex who stayed with me until we got to the garage. Three hundred dollars later and a new ignition switch and I was on my way to Philly. Missed an important interview but I am pretty sure that I can reschedule (hopefully). Had a great weekend though: Phillies game, went to go see the new Hitchhiker's Guide movie, dinner and bowling with some friends (and a special loved one of course). I even got two strikes and some spares. All in all a very good weekend :)

It could be worse... In its waning days, the car you forever christened the "Pimpmobile" broke down constantly. The worst was the time the transmission fell out in Caddo Valley, Ark., Pop. 388. I had to have Larky the cash-only cut rate auto mechanic tow it to the shack back in the woods behind his house. After handing him $1500 in cash and taking a crazy roundtrip to Nashville using some scary backwoods taxi service and a rental car, I finally got the PimpMobile back. But it only made it a few more years before it had to be put down for good. A sad end to an era.
