What I am reading lately.
I made a recent trip to the local library because I have decided to cut down on the amount of money that I spend on books. I have way too many and I have a donation box sitting in my apt that I still need to take over to the Book Thing in Baltimore. I love to read and I used to collect books like I collect shoes (more on that some other time!). So I have decided to go to the library and see what they had. My only problem with them is their pesky time limit and that when I go in there I am like a kid in a candy store. :) One of my favorite childhood memories was going to the library with my mom and getting my first library card. I loved that card and I think that I may still have it somewhere. If anyone has ever read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn that same library that Francie Neely went to in Williamsburgh was the very same one that I went to as a kid.
Anyway, now I am reading a bunch of "Chick Lit" stuff that I have been meaning to read. I am taking a break from the historical biographies that I usually read. Sometimes one needs some fluff in their life, don't you agree? (FYI: Lady Antonia Frasier is a great choice for British Biographies I recommend Mary Queen of Scots. Its a long read but well worth it). Currently I am reading Maneater by Gigi Levangie Grazer and after that Babyville by Jane Green. I'll give you a review at a later date.
Ciaosito!

I remember going to the library with my parents too, it was always such a treat for me! :) (Even though the public library in my small town was a one room affair, with books on 3 of the 4 walls plus on each of the 2 sides of a central bookshelf...LOL) I wish I could borrow books again, alas the library near where I live doesn't seem to have any books published after 1950... hehe
