The Musings of the Absolutely Fabulous Ms. N.

So much has happened in 2005. I made a major move both in my career and personal life. It's been over a year since Mr. K and I started dating. I have met the Kevinitos and the dreaded Fulana. Started therapy again and I am almost done paying off my car. Added a new member to the Ms. N househould and I also started going back to the gym. I have some gym partners so hopefully we can all motivate ourselves to go!

There are a few things that I want to accomplish before the end of 2006: Get my bills all paid up, lose some weight and take a real vacation! I am sure that I will add to that list before Jan.

I'd like to wish Happy New Year to all my of blogger friends and stalkers!

Many people know that I am a huge fan of the movie "A Christmas Story". I watch it non-stop during the holidays and I quote from the movie often. Imagine my surprise wehn I found this link on cityrag.com. Its a synopsis of the movie done in 30 seconds by cartoon rabbits. If you love the movie you'll love this too!

I am going to take a hiatus for a few days and get some much needed rest. I haven't taken vacation since last November and I am burned out.Hope you get everything you want (and stuff you didn't know you wanted)! So in the spirit of Foamy I say Merry Effing Xmas to you!

In case you haven't seen it here is the SNL skit called "Chronic...les of Narnia". It's a parody of some Beastie Boy raps with some hilarious NYC shoutouts. Its' pretty darn funny. It even has a shoutout to Magnolia Cupcakes!

A higher-up, or a higher-up wannabe who knows you well enough to know how to push your buttons, will hit them hard and heavy, with only one objective in mind: to push you to create a scene. Don't let them win.

On the bottom of my sidebar is my Yahoo Avatar. It's me and Leo/Dude (since they both look alike). And the kicker is that I have a Dooney and Burke purse that looks just like that one shown. Too cool!

After a session yesterday with the therapist I feel a lot better today. I feel like a huge burden has been lifted off of my shoulders. Some things were said that needed to be said and the air was cleared. I have dealt with suppressed feelings and have said my peace. The next steps are to come with a plan of action to deal with the situation. It was the best $30 I ever spent.

Have you seen the online website/petition called DivorceKevin.com? Its geared towards getting Britney Spears to divorce he white trash hubby Kevin Federline? What was the girl thinking when she married him? He must of put some kind of voodoo on her cause she's in deep! Run away Brit, run away!

Its unfortuante that way that you behaved last nite. It just proves that you are utter trash and don't deserve a moment of my time. Just remember that revenge is best served cold and you will get what you sow. Just make sure to look for me as I laugh my ass off when your time finally comes.

Mr. K got a posting on OverHeard in NY.com! This took place when he and I went to NYC Thanksgiving Eve to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day floats. We knew instantly that it would be a great addition to the site.

I had an issue with posting Dude's pic yesterday afternoon. So here he is! This pic was taken by his foster mom. Isn't he the cutest! His leg was shaved where they stuck an IV in him. It's his Philly war scar :)

He and Leo are doing fine. They have come to an agreement to share the bed with me. One on either side, no touching, no funny stuff :)

I haven't posted in a while because there has been a lot going onwith me First of all I would like to announce that I am a mom! A cat mom that is! I adopted a new cat this weekend. His name is Dude (as in the Big Lebowski) and he is a totally sweet cat. He came from the West Jersey Animal Shelter and he was placed in a foster home. I picked him up on Saturday and spent the weekend with him and Leo making sure that they would get along ok. They had a few spats and this morning I decided to leave them alone together. I hope that they work things out. I hope that Leo likes having a brother!


I saw Walk the Line with Mrs. CWV yesteday. It was ok. I didnt really buy either Joaquin or Reese as John and June Cash. It was a good movie overall though we did think that is dragged on a little.

I am all set-up for the holidays. My tree and lights are up. All the gifts are wrapped. Cards sent out. Taking a few days off from work before and after Xmas. I can't wait.

I saw the new Sarah Silverman movie last night "Jesus is Magic". She was really funny in it but I thought that the movie itself had some awkward moments. Def worth going to the theater for.

There is this scene where Sarahhas this little tirade with her manager about the kind of water that was in her rider. She goes off on him because they gave her a bottle of Volvic (or Volvie water as they changed the label). Sarah says to her manager, "I don't like Volvie water, it's too thick"! "I only drink FIJI water". Filarious!

I have been going thru a bit of an obsession with Joaquin Phoenix lately. He has now become my new baby's daddy (sorry Bono but it was good while it lasted). I found a blog that has a PETA anti-meat Thanksgiving commerical starring Mr. Phoenix.

I have been listening to Johnny Cash lately in preparation to see "Walk the Line" starring Joaquin Phoenix. On the official Johnny Cash website you can hear whole songs for free. I plan on getting a few albums in the next few months. Until then I can stare at Mr. Phoenix!*
